The baseline: four to six weeks
For a midweek event or an off-season weekend, four to six weeks is enough notice. That gives us time to design your template, confirm the backdrop and hold the date with a deposit. Shorter notice can still work if the date is open, so it is always worth asking.
The reason the window matters is that templates are designed for each event. We want your names, date, colours and any logo set in time for you to approve a proof, not rushed on the morning of the party.
Why weekends go first
We take two events a day, one on the Beverly Booth and one on the Selfie Booth. On a Saturday in a busy month, both can be spoken for well in advance. Fridays and Sundays go next. If your event falls on a weekend, treat the four-to-six-week guide as the minimum and book earlier where you can.
A midweek party, by contrast, almost always has an open booth. Corporate events and grand openings that land on a Tuesday or Wednesday rarely need to worry.
Wedding and quince season
Late spring through early autumn is the busiest stretch, when weddings and quinceañeras overlap. If you are planning a Saturday in that window, book as soon as your venue is confirmed. Many couples reserve the booth alongside their photographer and DJ rather than leaving it to the final month.
Quince families often have the date fixed a year out. There is no downside to reserving early, since a 50 percent deposit holds the date and is fully refundable if you cancel 30 or more days before.
December
December is its own season. Company holiday parties stack up on the same few Friday and Saturday evenings, and the first three weekends of the month are the tightest. If your office party is in December, book in October or early November to have your choice of booth.
Family gatherings and posadas also land in these weeks, which is why we suggest earlier than usual for anything in the second half of the year.
Mother's Day and other single-day peaks
A few dates concentrate demand into one day. Mother's Day is the clearest example, and we have printed strips at a Mother's Day event where the booth became the afternoon's main activity. Graduation weekends in late spring and early summer behave the same way.
For any event tied to one calendar date, assume competition for the booth and reserve six to eight weeks ahead.
Custom backdrops need longer
If you want a custom backdrop rather than one of our ten house options, allow six to eight weeks from approval of the design. Backdrops start at $180 and are produced to order, so this is the one add-on where the lead time is fixed rather than flexible.
Our house backdrops, from Champagne and Brillo to Eucalyptus and Zen, are always available and need no extra notice.
